Having toured the Southern Hemisphere and the States Robert Plant’s new band Sensational Space Shifters are heading to UK for the latest leg including two hometown shows for the Bristol and Black Country contingencies as well as an additional date for Manchester O2 Apollo on Tuesday 29th October. They are also appearing at Ireland’s Electric Picnic festival in August and the Roayl Albert Hall’s BluesFest on Thursday 31 October.
The band which comprises of John Baggott (Massive Attack, Portishead), Liam “Skin” Tyson of Cast as well as members of JuJu draw inspiration from the roots music of Mississippi, Appalachia, Gambia, Bristol and the foothills of Wolverhampton. JuJu’s album In Trance was reviewed by Neil McFadyen for Folk Radio UK in 2011 in which Neil said:
