RM Hubbert is set to release a new album in September via Scottish based label Chemikal Underground on which we also get to hear him sing! Breaks & Bone is the extraordinary follow up to his Scottish Album of the Year Award winning ‘Thirteen Lost & Found‘ which was released in January 2012 and featured collaborations with Alasdair Roberts, Aidan Moffat, Alex Kapranos and Emma Pollock (amongst others).
Hubbert revealed on his website that Breaks & Bone, otherwise known as The Last Of The Ampersand Trilogy is
“Ten songs about being in love, saying goodbye, accepting depression, letting go of grief and living with a dog called D Bone. It’s really not as depressing as the last sentence might suggest. Also, you get to hear me sing. So there’s that.”
