American folk music artist and musician Tim Eriksen has announced some UK and European dates this this summer. He’s mostly touring solo but will doing a few duo shows with friend and Folk Radio UK ‘Artists of the Month’ Eliza Carthy, this includes one in the Czech Republic and one at Sidmouth Folk Festival in southwestern England.
“Once I’m on the road I’ll be in the Czech Republic, Belgium, England and Northern Ireland for a great travelling festival that’s historically always been in the Republic but will be, for the first time, in Northern Ireland.” Tim also revealed details of new UK based side project in the Peak District. “An interesting side project is an early August collaboration with American painter Sue Brearey and English artist Dylan Stone. We’ll spend several days walking, painting, composing and doing public multimedia performances focussed on the old art of the Magic Lantern in and around the historic White Edge Lodge in England’s Peak District. I’m sure it will be inspiring on the artistic front, but regardless of that it’s just an amazing place.
Tim will also be performing with Cath Tyler (York on July 26th) who also played bass for Cordelia’s Dad whom Tim is a former frontman for.
