As you probably already know, we’ve been really looking forward to the release of Son of Rogue’s Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs & Chanteys the follow up to the 2006 release that featured sea shanties being covered by the likes of Richard Thompson, Baby Gramps, Nick Cave, Bill Frisell, Eliza Carthy, Martin Carthy and the UK Group, Akron/Family and heaps more. The new album features the likes of Tom Waits, Keith Richards, Iggy Pop, Nick Cave, Patti Smith, Sean Lennon, Shane McGowan many more.
It will be released on Anti-Records February 19 as a double CD and you can listen to Disc 1 in full below:
