In April last year we introduced youto The Crooked Fiddle Band of Sydney Australia (read it here) who combine tradtional world music including gypsy, klezmer, Scandinavian and British folk and give it all a punk twist!
They are currently back in Steve Albini’s Electrical Audio studio in Chicago recording their second album. They are funding the release through a crowdfunding campaign on Pozible (Australia’s answer to Kickstarter).
By pre-ordering it or one of the other unique rewards, fans can help cover the in-studio costs. If they surpass that goal, they’ll be able to cover the costs of producing the artwork for their album cover and maybe even manufacturing the cds.
We’ve been making dark, ecstatic and energetic music since 2006 and we’re proud to be completely independent. All our releases have been entirely self-funded from shows and festivals (and some credit card debts along the way). This Pozible campaign will help us fund the new recording without that debt, and means you can guarantee a copy of our new album.
