Canterbury based band Syd Arthur have enjoyed some great critical success since the release of their debut album On An On earlier this year. They continue on their pyschedelic quest inspired by prog sonic pioneers of the late 60s and early 70s with the release of a new single. Dorothy is released this week (12th Nov), a hazy number with swirling smooth jazz lines bringing Liam Magill’s vocals to the fore.

The band have also found a home under the nurturing wing of Communion so expect to hear a lot more from them in 2013.
