Soledad Vélez are a South American duo who recently took in some dates in London. The female/male duo of Soledad Vélez and Jesús de Santos play alternative folk music, what some call ‘weird folk’…a sound that comes from that same camp of Josephine Foster (someone who I would compare Soledad’s vocals to) and Devendra Banhart.
Their latest LP ‘Wild Fishing’ is released on the Absolute Beginners label and is available via Bandcamp and can be heard on Deezer.
