Lau are celebrating their forthcoming album ‘Race the Loser’ in big style when they will be taking over Kings place, London for four days for ‘Lau Land’. Read our previous post for full details.
Lau Land will range from some top notch modern trad from Rura, indisputable kings of the folk road Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick to Idlewild front-man Roddy Woomble and the Mercury nominated King Creosote and Jon Hopkins. They also have had the chance to invite some of their collaborative chums of recent years, Adem will perform with the remarkable string duo Geese, and Brian Irvine will run his phenomenal scratch orchestra “The Cake Club”, in which ANY musicians are invited to perform.
Here’s another great taster of why Lau are so damn good. This is ‘Far From Portland‘ taken from ‘Race the Loser’.
