Canailles was originally six self-taught musicians who would meet in Montreal’s famed La Fontaine Park in 2009 to celebrate and enjoy a carefree summer. Since then they have grown to eight strong to deliver a raw mix of bluegrass, folk, Cajun and blues with a carefree Garage rock attitude. Their songs are in French Quebecois joual and they have become quite a name already on the international circuit with their upbeat and infectious live performance.
Their album ‘Manger du bois‘ was produced and mixed by Philip Bova (Feist, Bell Orchestre, Stars) and We’ll be adding tracks to our playlist this week.
