Canadian singer songwriter Leif Vollebekk has a lot of endearing qualities that you just can’t help but like from his care-free personae to his infectious smile and his ability to carry off the sparsest of ballads with unnerving confidence. Add to this a gifted multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, piano, harmonica and violin then you can see why he’s upcoming visit to the UK is so welcome. He’ll be over here from the end of August for a few shows as well as performances at End of the Road Festival and Communion London.
Back in April last year he hinted at a follow-up to his album Inland, let’s hope it’s on its way soon, in the meantime check out this older session from the good folks over at Southern Souls:
