When I Believe’ is the first single off The Robbie Boyd Band’s new EP ‘Spring Generation’ which you can listen to exclusively on Folk Radio UK today. Having already received support from Graham Norton at BBC Radio 2, the track follows a very successful campaign for Robbie’s first EP, ‘Autumn’s Flown’, which culminated in a sell-out headline show for its launch at The Borderline. Both singles from the previous EP received national radio support via Graham Norton and Paul O’Grady at BBC Radio 2, Dave Gorman at Absolute Radio, as well as support from 6 Music, Q Radio and many regional BBC stations. ‘When I believe’ is an upbeat ballad with a catchy, sing along chorus, filled with pop hooks and a glorious burst of harmonic sunshine to finish. Already a crowd favorite at live shows ‘When I believe’ is a radio-friendly pop hit ready to expand the ever-growing fan base for this London troubadour very much on the ascendance.
The band have accumulated over 400,000 YouTube views on their channel plus an international following of more than 8,000 Facebook fans for their infectious brand of folk pop. On the live front, they have supported The Kooks at Harvest at Jimmy’s, Delays at the 02 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, and Johnny Flynn at Get Loaded in the Park. More recently they sold out The Borderline and headlined Trafalgar Square in front of thousands of people, which has led to bookings at Bristol Folk Festival, London Folk Festival, Wilderness Festival and Just So Festival amongst others. A UK tour in May this year saw The Robbie Boyd Band extend their fan base outside of London and in August, Robbie takes his band of eclectic musicians to Germany, adding to the list of European countries they have already toured.
