Coventry based band The Fallows release their new single ‘Front Row’ on 27th August a taste of what’s to come with the release of their debut album ‘Face The Wolves’ on 3rd September 2012. From their humble origins of a duo featuring Ross Darby and Pete Rutherford the band have been fine tuning and developing their sound since 2010 which has led to the addition of Sam Stokes on bass and Neal Pointon on fiddle. The results are a fitting combination, a young indie folk band with an edge that will make them a popular live band, taking inspiration from both traditional and modern influences.
Where they really shine is when they go that extra mile. After hearing ‘Raining Back Home‘ which features the percussion of dancing feet courtesy of World Champion Irish Dancer Declan McHale you begin to see the distance from the numerous other indie folk hopefuls. The fiddle playing on this album plays a big part in making their sound unique as well as offering originality as can be heard on ‘Annecy‘.
They’re a band to watch out for so if you get a chance to see them live then go for it!
