Glasgow based contemporary folk group, Two Wings will be hitting the road touring their debut record ‘Love’s Spring’ on Tin Angel Records in the UK throughout June 2012. This summer sees them sharing the bill with many acts including James Yorkston, RM Hubbert, David Thomas Broughton and Eric Chaneux (Constellation Records).
Rooted in folk rock and blues that reminds us of why we fell in love with Fleetwood Mac, Richard Thompson, Jethro Tull and Eric Clapton. Two Wings, not only, tread the musicial terriorities of UK’s finest musicians but they successfully and refreshingly achieve these ambitions. Ever present are subtle nods towards traditional folk music with lead vocals akin to Kate Bush and Joanna Newsom.
Two Wings have received much praise in the last few months gaining many industry supporters at Mojo, Wire Magazine, Folk Radio UK, Americana UK and BBC Scotland. They are set to head back into the studio later this year. In the mean time live performances will include material from ‘Love’s Spring’ along with some new tracks on trial.
