Some great music news for Rachel Sermanni fans, she is to release a new single on May 14th titled ‘Eggshells‘. It was produced by Ian Grimble and will feature as a limied edition joint 7″ and CD gatefold and will be released on her own label ‘Middle of Nowhere Recordings’.
I’ve yet to hear anything of Rachel’s that I don’t love and this is no exception. This is a delicate folk chamber piece that builds in layers from guitar to softly soaring stringed orchestration. You can hear it below and it has also been added to the Folk Radio UK playlist.
In other news Rachel is to have her first London headline show at The Lexington on April 19th, ahead of Rachel’s biggest headline Scottish show to date at Oran Mor in Glasgow on May 11th.
Rachel will also be performing at many festivals this year including: Summer Sundae, Secret Garden Party and Larmer Tree…more dates to be confirmed. And if that wasn’t enough she also has a debut album in the pipeline for autumn. A bright future for a very talented folk singer if ever there was one!
