Scott Rudd is currently based in New York City where he is working on a series of lo-fi 4-track cassette demos. There is a rawness and exposed fragility to his music that is mirrored in his photography work. His images are stark, real and often overshadowed by poverty and despair. It is this type of vision and honesty that often makes people feel uncomfortable, where some reel in the artificial sanctum of happy pop others delight in the artistry of those that make it real.
He will be in the UK on Jul 10 at ‘Workshop at Roadtrip’, London.
Seeds
my dear, my love
I know its been tough
you’ve held on long
long enoughI loved you more
when seasons would change
and all these fears
would fall from my brainoh our souls
each other we’ve shown
our faces fall
and our hearts they have grown
I’m still the man
the man that you’d knownyou gave it all
but the seeds have been sown
you gave it all
but the seeds have been sown
