The Emily Portman Trio featuring Emily alongside Rachel Newton (The Shee: see our interview) and Lucy Farrell (watch Jonny Kearney and Lucy Farrell video session) have two great gigs coming up which fans should try and catch if they can. The gigs will feature songs from her forthcoming album ‘Hatchling‘ due out in the summer and these will be Emily’s last concerts for a while as she’s having a baby in May!

But nothing will keep Emily off the festival circuit so she will be back on the road at the end of June along with baby!
Sark Folk Festival 30th June: Sold Out! Day tickets are still available. The third annual Sark Folk Festival takes place on the West Coast, Isle Of Sark, Channel Islands from Friday 29th June until Sunday 1st July 2012 near La Moinerie on the west of the island.
Festival at the Edge 20th-22nd July: Festival at the Edge is a celebration of story telling where you can experience tales from around the world that will make you laugh, cry and wonder. FATE is for everyone – for people looking for something new as well as for those already bitten by the story bug.
