You’ve got to hand it to Charles Bradley to have released his debut album at the age of 62! We introduced him back in May last year (Introducing: Charles Bradley) after we heard his debut album No Time for Dreaming and he has just continued to grow and grow. One of the fascinating things about Bradley is not just his decision to release an album after so long but the journey he went through to get there.
They’ve now released a film called ‘Charles Bradley: Soul of America’ which will premiere at SXSW this year. It will no doubt ring true and touch the hearts of many, his life up until recently was one of poverty, homelessness and tragedy. Watch the trailer below:
