After the last post we made about the line-up for Cambridge Folk Festival we had a few comments on our facebook page about where were the new young stars…well, the latest names to be revealed are certainly begining to whet our appetite here on Folk Radio UK. Joining the line-up will be the ever popular Benjamin Francis Leftwich, that fabulous trio of sisters The Staves and rising stars Dry the River and more contemporary and emerging names are promised:
As with previous years Cambridge Folk Festival will also be featuring a number of artists from the World Music circuit and have just announced one of the greatest forces in African music, singer, songwriter and social campaigner Angelique Kidjo as well as Indian world music star Raghu Dixit drawing on blues, rock, reggae, bhangra, Latin and Sufi.
