With the evenings drawing in and the winter chill arriving it’s the perfect time of year for some new uplifting feel good music. We have just the cure: the Good Lovelies. We only discovered them this morning as we were warming up with a hot cuppa. The trio of ladies (Caroline Brooks, Kerri Ough and Sue Passmore) have been charming Canadian audiences with their lovely three part harmonies and retro driven roots / country swing since 2006.
2011 has been a busy year following the release of their third album Let the Rain Fall, tracks from which have been added to Folk Radio UK’s playlist. Their growing tour schedule has taken them to Australia, the UK and the US where they have received glowing music reviews and attracted a fast growing fan base. As you can see from the clip below they not only sound great but have great stage presence and plenty of humour. Their music will appeal to fans of The Be Good Tanyas and Pokey LaFarge.
