Living Room Songs is the latest project from Icelandic multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer, Ólafur Arnalds. Like his 2009 ‘Found Songs’ Ólafur will repeat a similarly framed project taking place over one week during which he invites the audience to enjoy new music from his own Reykjavík home. A free song will be released daily for one week as a free mp3 track to download as well as a video performance.
The completed project will of course be available as physical product in CD/Vinyl and High Quality Digital Version as well as Special Edition CD & DVD. They should be released before the end of the year through Erased Tapes. You can pre-order yours here and get a free postcard with it.
The Day One composition ‘Fyrsta’ made a big impression…day two shifted to electronica overlapping ambience…so we are guessing the whole project will be fairly diverse, at least we hope it will be as it is this that creates the curiosity to bring us back on a daily basis!
