Amber Wilson releases a double a-side single this week. “Raise The Alarm / An Affirmation” will be available on iTunes, Amazon, Virginmega, 7 Digital and around 80 other online stores. The EP offers a nice contrast of tempo and style from the dreamy folk pop of ‘An Affirmation’ to the slightly heavier ‘Raise the Alarm’. Amber Wilson has a captivating warm voice which has an appealing fragility and is not dis-similar to the likes of Feist. The greater production of this EP will make her shine all the brighter from her last live debut EP.
It’s her first release since her vocals featured on Rod Jones’ (Idlewild) album “A Sentimental Education” last year. She’ll be playing shows throughout Scotland and England over the next few months to promote the release, with Edinburgh and Glasgow dates and Moseley Folk Festival in Birmingham already confirmed.
