Beirut have announced the release of their first album in four years titled ‘The Rip Tide’. The album will be released on 29th August (UK) and 30th August (US). The Rip Tide sees a deprature from the grounding force of ‘The Flying Club Cup’ (2007) and ‘March of the Zapotec’ (2009). You can listen to the track East Harlem below which is taken from the forthcoming album and features on their new limited edition single:
Griffin Rodriguez is in the production seat again and there are also some welcome contributions from other artists we have featured on FRUK: violinist Heather Trost (A Hawk and a Hacksaw) and Sharon Van Etten. The Rip Tide promises to be highlight of new sounds that fans will welcome.
