Another new video has been released for PJ Harvey’s album Let England Shake
. For those of you that have been following our posts will know that the 12 films for the album were made by Seamus Murphy who set out to capture and interpret the idea of England.
Seamus had this to say about the video for Bitter Branches:
I had been in Wootton Bassett in the summer and noticed the grieving families placing roses on the roof of the hearse. It was an appropriate moment to mix with lyrics about war widow’s arms as “bitter branches spreading into the world”.
