We’ll be heading down to the Grain Barge on Friday 4th March for another great night of entertainment featuring Boxcar Aldous Huxley / North Sea Navigator / Cat Green Bike. It promises to be an incredible evening so if you’re in the area, head on down!
BOXCAR ALDOUS HUXLEY
Klezmer avant-folk combo Boxcar Aldous Huxley was formed in Bristol in Spring 2008 by a cinema projectionist, an illustrator and an aerialist, playing banjo, harmonium and saw respectively. Further instruments and their accompanying musicians were recruited, such that euphonium, drums and clarinet can all be e…xperienced, along with the occasional blast of souzaphone and a sombre chorus of vocals.

NORTH SEA NAVIGATOR
Tense, chilling and atmospheric electro-acoustic ensemble lead by Paul Nash (Ex Gravenhurst). Delicate, expertly woven stories of cold-war spies and the fall of the Berlin wall, NSN can be described as having a resemblance to Low era Bowie or an ambient Eno with songs that could be soundtracks.

CAT GREEN BIKE
“Already played on Tom Robinson’s BBC 6Music Introducing show, Xenia Randle is riding the crest of the wave. Cat Green Bike is the sound of a definitely plucked ukulele, a saw, and a fertile imagination. Already amassing fans, her melodic lines are a treat to behold backing up her more-than-justified cult status in Bristol and beyond.” Toby Field, BBC Introducing
