I discovered and was captivated by Lisa Hannigan’s music last year. The couple of videos below are the work of a great director: Myles O’Reilly, whose work captures artists (many of our favourites) in the most beautiful way thanks to his keen eye for angles, light, tone and colour. A video that can transform everyday events into something special makes you see the world in a very different light…it may even change your own perspective. I’ve been wanting to show you Lisa in her shining light for a while and this seemed like the perfect opportunity:
A video diary clip of Lisa Hannigan and band testing a new song in West Cork.
A video diary clip of Lisa Hannigan and band testing a new song and playing a gig in West Cork.
One cam, one song, one take and a few hundred people. Lisa Hannigan performs ‘Lille’ at Gleebe Gardens in Baltimore, West Cork.
The final clip was not directed by Myles. I couldn’t resist it because of the beautiful location at Barrow Beach, Kerry, Ireland.
It features Lisa and co. performing her song “Splishy Splashy” from the album Sea Sew. Directed and edited by Donal Dineen and Ian Cudmore.
Latest:
I’ve been writing the new record in various places for some time now. I’ll be settling by the sea for a bit and thought I would get back aboard the internet as the record takes shape.
