This is the first of our Frukie Round-ups where we take a brief look at whats out there. I’m hoping for this to be a regular and I intend to cover a broad range from Indie folk to progressive Trad…we get so many albums sent for review that we can’t …

Ben Rogers arrives in the UK this month to commence his UK and European tour to promote his debut EP The Bums of Easy Street Part 1. A Dylanesque styled troubadour with a great stage presence.

Our Indie Folk favourites, Arborea, (Buck and Shanti Curran) are working on a new album and need your help to complete the final stages of producing and promoting the record.

The Cowboy Junkies are back with a new project titled “The Nomad Series” to include the release of four albums over the next 18 months. The first, Remnin Park, was released this week.

Mumford and Sons have released a limited edition EP under the pseudonym of “The Wedding Band”. The Wedding band is a collection of musicians and Mumford & Sons collaborators.

About one year ago someone decided to put together a Townes Van Zandt compilation of covers by a great selection of indie artists. This week a follow up titled More Townes Van Zandt By The Great Unknown is released.
