Many folks will have been disappointed to have missed the sold out Away Game held on the island of Eigg this year. The good folks at Fence are providing all you Fence fans the chance to enjoy another wee celebration: The annual Fence celebration of All Hallows’ Eve. In the past the party has been held in Anstruther, Fence Records home town. They have broken with tradition this year and are heading west to a less remote location…well as far west as Glasgow!
In Pictish Trail’s own words:
Soooo, we’re headed waaaay out west … well, er, as far west as Glasgow, to be specific … and we’re setting the clocks forward a millenia. Yer darn toootin’, the theme this year is …
Wild West 3010: Space Cowboys and Aliens!
The whole thing is taking place on Hallowe’en itself – Sunday, 31st October 2010 … across three adjacent venues in Glasgow:
* Stereo, on Renfield Lane.
* The (newly refurbished) Old Hairdresser, and
* The (still currently under refurbishment) upstairs bit of The Old Hairdresser.
The music will kick off from 2pm until VERY late, and you can expect a mixture of bands, DJ’s, solo acts, films, weird workshops and, of course, the unexpected …
As with all Fence events, the full line-up will not be revealed until a later date … but we can guarantee there’ll be a mix of some ol’ Fence favourites, and some very special guests indeed.
As a wee reminder of how GREAT our Hallowe’en parties are, have a goosey at this video of last years’ ‘Dead Celebrities’ event, courtesy of The Forest Of Black:
