Andrew Belle is a young singer/songwriter who divides his time between Chicago and Nashville. After listening to his debut album, The Ladder, I’m happy to jump in with both feet and say he has his foot well and truly on the ladder of success without the help of a big label! The media hounds have picked up on the scent and are lapping at his heels which in turn has led to a rapidly growing fan base!
The Ladder has all those ingredients likely to bring him main stream success:highly palatable pop-folk (of which there is an abundance of right now), great vocals and catchy tunes and lyrics. I’m pretty sure that Mumford and Son fans will enjoy the album as the opening title track has a similar sound all be it a bit softer and more pop orientated. The comparison, tenuous as it is, stops there…the rest of the album has some great moments which will make him stand out from the crowd. Andrew Belle is a name you’ll be hearing a lot more of I’m sure.
