At the Oupost is Edinburgh based Chris Bradley’s second album. The album has already caught the worthy attention of media critics including The Times who gave it very high praise. Chris is gifted in the songwriting and composing department where he has plied his trade for TV and radio in the past. Being able to turn those efforts to an album appear to have paid off on his latest release. It’s a genre busting album which I wouldn’t pin to any mast and I expect he will keep that breadth on future releases.
The highlights, for me, are The Man I love and the title track At the outpost. I’m basing all that on an acoustic folkie leaning rather than some formal musical critique of his work, but I do prefer the more acoustic numbers which are more stripped down and show off the root of his abilities to the full.

I have spent nearly every minute of my waking life making, listening to and pondering over all things sonic in this world. Since gaining a 1st class BA honours in music (2002) and a Masters in composition (2004) I have composed a wide range of music for TV and radio as well as orchestral scores for plays and short films.
Well, you’ll be pleased to know Chris, it paid off and I don’t think you’ll be composing music for TV for much longer.
